Hadith 37735
٣٧٧٣٥ - حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن ابن جريج عن عطاء عن عبيد بن عمير قال: إن اللَّه أحل وحرم، فما أحل فاستحلوه، وما حرم فاجتنبوه، وترك (من) (١) ذلك أشياء لم يحلها ولم يحرمها، فذلك عفو من اللَّه عفاه ثم يتلو: ﴿يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ﴾ (إلى آخر) (٢) الآية [المائدة: ١٠١].
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair that he said: Verily, Allah the Exalted has made some things lawful and some things unlawful. So, consider lawful whatever Allah has declared lawful, and avoid whatever Allah has declared unlawful. And among these, there are some things that Allah the Exalted has left (undecided); He has neither declared them unlawful nor lawful. This is a pardon from Allah. Then he, may Allah have mercy on him, recited this verse: { یَا أَیُّہَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْیَائَ…} till the end of the verse.
