٣٧٦٤٠ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مسعر عن عاصم أن أبا وائل كان يقول وهو ساجد: إن تعف عني (١) تعف عن طول منك، وإن تعذبني تعذبني غير ظالم ولا مسبوق، ثم يبكي.
It is narrated from Hazrat Asim that Hazrat Abu Wa'il used to say in the state of prostration: If You forgive me, then You will forgive me despite Your power, and if You punish me, then Your punishment will neither be that of a tyrant nor will it be preceded. Then he began to weep.
