كلام (أبي هريرة) ﵁Sayings of Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه
Hadith 37428
٣٧٤٢٨ - حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ قال: حدثنا ابن عون عن عبيد بن (باب) (١) قال: كنت أفرغ على أبي هريرة من إداوة، فمر به رجل فقال: أين تريد يا فلان؟ قال: السوق، قال: إن استطعت أن تشتري الموت قبل أن ترجع فافعل، قال: ثم أقبل عليّ فقال: لقد خفت اللَّه مما استعجل إليه قبل القدر (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubaid bin Bab that he says: I was pouring water for Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from a waterskin when a man passed by him. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: O so-and-so! Where are you intending to go? He said: To the market. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you can buy death before you return, then buy it. The narrator says: Then he (may Allah be pleased with him) turned to me and said: Indeed, I fear Allah regarding that thing which is sought hastily before its destined time.
