Hadith 37416
٣٧٤١٦ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي بكر بن المنكدر قال: أرسل حبيب بن مسلمة وهو على الشام إلى أبي ذر بثلاثمائة دينار، فقال: استعن بها على حاجتك، فقال أبو ذر: ارجع بها، فما وجد أحدا (أغر) (١) باللَّه منا، ما لنا (إلا) (٢) ظل نتوارى به، وثلة من غنم تروح علينا، ومولاة لنا ⦗٣٨٦⦘ تصدقت علينا بخدمتها، ثم إني لأتخوف الفضل (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Munzir that he says Hazrat Habib bin Muslimah—he was the ruler over Syria—sent three hundred dinars to Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Use this to help with your needs. Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Take them back. There is no one wealthier than us. All we need is a shade in which we can take shelter, a flock of goats that brings us comfort, and a free maidservant who serves us out of charity; then I fear anything more than this.
