Hadith 37130
٣٧١٣٠ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "مثل المؤمن مثل الزرع (لا تزال) (١) الريح تميله، ولا يزال المؤمن يصيبه بلاء، ومثل الكافر مثل شجرة الأرز لا تهتز حتى (تستحصد) (٢) " (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a believer is like that of a crop; the wind keeps shaking it continuously. Similarly, trials keep befalling the believer continuously. And the example of a disbeliever is like that of a pine tree, which does not move at all until it is completely cut down.
