Hadith 37120
٣٧١٢٠ - حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور قال: حدثنا جعفر بن زياد عن موسى الجهني عن رجل من ثقيف عن أنس قال: كنت أخدم النبي ﷺ فقال لي يوما: "هل عندك شيء تطعمنا"، قلت: نعم يا رسول اللَّه، فضل من الطعام الذي كان أمس قال: "ألم أنهكْ أن تدعَ طعامَ يومٍ لغد" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I used to serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Do you have anything with you that you can feed us?" I replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! There is some leftover food from yesterday." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did I not forbid you from saving today's food for tomorrow?"
