Hadith 37119
٣٧١١٩ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا (حماد) (١) بن سلمة قال: أخبرنا ثابت عن ⦗٢٨٥⦘ أنس أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "يؤتى بأشد الناس (كان) (٢) بلاء في (الدنيا) (٣) من أهل الجنة، فيقول (اللَّه) (٤): اصبغوه صبغة في الجنة، فيصبغ فيها صبغة فيقول اللَّه: يا ابن آدم هل رأيت بؤسا قط، أو شيئا تكرهه؟ فيقول: لا، وعزتك، ما رأيت شيئا أكرهه قط، ثم يؤتى بأنعم الناس في (الدنيا) (٥) من أهل النار فيقول: اصبغوه صبغة (في النار) (٦)، فيصبغ فيها (فيقول) (٧): يا ابن آدم هل رأيت (قط) (٨) قرة عين؟ فيقول: لا، وعزتك ما رأيت خيرًا قط" (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man from among the people of Paradise will be brought who had faced the greatest hardships in the world. Then Allah, the Exalted, will command: Dip this man once in Paradise. So he will be dipped in Paradise. Then Allah, the Exalted, will say: O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any hardship or anything unpleasant? He will reply: No, by Your honor! I have never seen anything unpleasant. Then a man from among the people of Hell will be brought who had lived in the greatest luxuries in the world. Allah, the Exalted, will command: Dip him once in Hell. So he will be dipped in Hell. Then Allah, the Exalted, will ask: O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any comfort of the eyes? He will reply: By Your honor! No, I have never seen any good."
