Hadith 37118
٣٧١١٨ - حدثنا ابن علية عن أيوب عن ابن أبي مليكة عن عائشة قالت: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من حوسب يوم القيامة عذب"، قلت: أليس قال اللَّه: ﴿فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا﴾ [الانشقاق: ٨]، قال: "ليس (ذاك) (١) بالحساب، إنما ذاك العرض من نوقش الحساب يوم القيامة عذب" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is called to account on the Day of Resurrection will be punished." I asked, is this not the Divine statement: { فَسَوْفَ یُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا یَسِیرًا }? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is not the reckoning, this is only the presentation. Whoever is questioned in detail in the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection will be punished."
