Hadith 37110
٣٧١١٠ - حدثنا (١) أبو خالد الأحمر عن حجاج عن أبي جعفر عن جابر قال: مر رسول اللَّه ﷺ على شاة ميتة فقال: "لم (ترون) (٢) ألقى هذه أهلها؟ " (فقالوا) (٣): يا رسول اللَّه وهل ينتفعون بها وقد ماتت؟ فقال: "لزوال الدنيا أهون على اللَّه من هذه على أهلها" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a dead goat. He (peace be upon him) asked: "Why have the people of this house thrown away this goat?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Would they benefit from it when it has died? Upon this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Just as this goat is insignificant (worthless) to its owners, the world is even more insignificant (and worthless) in the sight of Allah Almighty than this."
