Hadith 37084
٣٧٠٨٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن الشعبي قال: لما قدم معاذ إلى اليمن خطب الناس فحمد اللَّه وأثنى عليه وقال: (أنا) (١) (رسول) (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣) (إليكم) (٤) أن تعبدوا اللَّه (لا) (٥) تشركوا به شيئًا، وتقيموا الصلاة، وتؤتوا الزكاة، وإنما هو اللَّه وحده والجنة والنار (٦)، (إقامة) (٧) فلا (ظعن) (٨) وخلود فلا موت (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Sha’bi that he says: When Hazrat Mu’adh came to Yemen, he delivered a sermon to the people. He praised Allah and glorified Him, and said: I am the messenger of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ to you, that you worship Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, and pay zakat. Because He alone is Allah, and Paradise and Hell are places of abiding; thus, there is no departure from there, and it is a place of permanence. Thus, there is no death there.
