Hadith 36938
٣٦٩٣٨ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن همام بن يحيى قال: حدثنا قتادة عن صفوان بن محرز قال: كنت آخذا بيد عبد اللَّه بن عمر فأتاه رجل فقال: كيف ⦗٢١٨⦘ سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول في النجوى؟ فقال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "إن اللَّه يدني المؤمن يوم القيامة حتى يضع عليه كنفه، يستره من الناس، فيقول: أي عبدي تعرف ذنب كذا وكذا؟ فيقول: (أي، نعم) (١) رب، حتى إذا قرره بذنوبه ورأى في نفسه أنه قد هلك قال: فإني قد سترتها عليك في الدنيا، وقد غفرتها لك اليوم، ثم يؤتى بكتاب حسناته، وأما الكفار والمنافقون فيقول الأشهاد: ﴿هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ﴾ [هود: ١٨] " (٢).
Hazrat Safwan narrates that I was holding the hand of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) when a person came to him and asked, "What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding al-Najwa?" Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will bring the believer close, so much so that He will place His hand of mercy upon him and will conceal him from the people. Then Allah Almighty will say, 'O servant! Do you know about such and such sins?' He will reply, 'Yes, my Lord.' Then Allah Almighty will say the same, and the servant will confess, until when he has confessed his sins and becomes certain that he is doomed, Allah Almighty will say, 'I had concealed them for you in the world, and today I have forgiven them for you.' Then he will be given the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and hypocrites, the witnesses will say about them that { ہَؤُلاَئِ الَّذِینَ کَذَبُوا عَلَی رَبِّہِمْ ، أَلاَ لَعَنَۃُ اللہِ عَلَی الظَّالِمِینَ }."
