Hadith 3688
٣٦٨٨ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث قال: (نا) (١) ليث عن طاوس قال: من فاته شيء من صلاة الإمام فإن شاء جهر، وإن شاء لم يجهر.
Hazrat Tawus says that if a person misses a rak‘ah with the imam in a loud (jahr) prayer, then while making it up, he may recite aloud if he wishes, or he may not if he wishes.
