Hadith 36084
٣٦٠٨٤ - حدثنا (شاذان قال: حدثنا) (١) حماد بن سلمة عن أبي عمران (الجوني) (٢) عن أنس أنهم لما فتحوا تستر قال: (وجدنا) (٣) رجلا أنفه ذراع في التابوت، كانوا يستظهرون (و) (٤) (يستمطرون) (٥) به، فكتب أبو موسى إلى عمر ابن الخطاب بذلك، فكتب عمر: إن هذا نبي من الأنبياء والنار لا تأكل الأنبياء، (و) (٦) الأرض لا ⦗٦٣⦘ تأكل الأنبياء، فكتب (إليه) (٧) أن انظر أنت و (رجل من) (٨) أصحابك -يعني أصحاب أبي موسى- فادفنوه في مكان لا يعلمه أحد غيركما، قال: فذهبت أنا وأبو موسى فدفناه (٩).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when we conquered Tustar, we saw a grave there in which the body of a man was intact. The people used to seek rain through him. Hazrat Abu Musa wrote a letter to Hazrat Umar regarding this, so Hazrat Umar replied that this is the grave of a prophet because the earth does not consume the bodies of the prophets. And bury him in such a place where no one knows except you and one of your companions. So I and Hazrat Abu Musa took the body and buried it.
