Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shahab says that he participated in jihad with Hazrat Abu Musa. On the day we reached Tustar, Hazrat Ash'ari was struck by an arrow and fell to the ground. I stood behind him with a bow. When he regained consciousness, he said, "I am the first person among the Arabs who lit a fire at the gate of Tustar." When we conquered Tustar and captured prisoners, Hazrat Abu Musa said, "Select ten men from the army to stay with you and guard these prisoners until we return." Then he advanced further, conquered many regions, and returned. Hazrat Abu Musa distributed the spoils of war among the Mujahideen, giving two shares to the horseman and one share to the foot soldier, and when a female prisoner was sold, she was not separated from her child.
