٣٦٠١٤ - حدثنا أبو (الأحوص) (١) عن الأسود بن قيس عن شبر بن علقمة قال: بارزت رجلًا يوم القادسية من الأعاجم فقتلته وأخذت سلبه فأتيت به سعدًا، فخطب سعد أصحابه ثم قال: هذا سلب شبر وهو خير من اثني عشر ألف درهم، وإنا قد نفلناه إياه (٢)
Hazrat Shabir bin Alqamah narrates that I fought with a non-Arab in the Battle of Qadisiyyah and killed him. Then I took his belongings and went to Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas. Hazrat Sa’d announced among his companions that these are the belongings brought by Shabir and they are better than twelve thousand dirhams. And we gave them to him as spoils of war.
