Hadith 35828
٣٥٨٢٨ - حدثنا حسين بن محمد قال: ثنا جرير بن حازم عن محمد بن إسحاق عن داود بن الحصين عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي عقبة عن أبي عقبة وكان مولى من أهل فارس قال: شهدت مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ يوم أحد، فضربت رجلًا من المشركين فقلت: خذها مني وأنا الغلام (الفارسي، فبلغت النبي ﷺ فقال: "هلا قلت خذها مني وأنا الغلام) (١) الأنصاري" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I participated in the Battle of Uhud with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I struck a polytheist with my sword saying, "Here, take this! I am a Persian slave." When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he said, "Why did you not say that this blow is on my behalf? I am an Ansari slave."
