Hadith 35749
٣٥٧٤٩ - حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن عمرو مولى غفرة قال: أردت الغزو (فتزوجت) (١) بما في يدي، وبعث إلي رجل معونة بستين دينارا في سبيل اللَّه، قال: فأتيت سعيد بن المسيب فذكرت ذلك له وقلت: أدع لأهلي بقدر ما أنفقت، قال: لا، ولكن إذا بلغت رأس المغزى فهو كهيئة مالك، ثم أتيت القاسم بن محمد فذكرت ذلك له، فقال لي مثل قول سعيد بن المسيب.
Hazrat Umar, who was the freed slave of Ghufrah, says that I was about to go for jihad, so I prepared provisions with whatever I had. A person sent me sixty dinars for jihad. He says that I went to Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib and submitted to him, "Should I leave for my family, from this amount, as much as I used to spend on them?" He replied, "No, but when you reach the battlefield of jihad, then it is like your own wealth." Then I went to Qasim bin Muhammad and mentioned this matter to him and inquired about it. He also said to me the same as Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib.
