Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Hayyan narrates from his father that Rabi’ bin Khuthaym had an illness, and he used to come to the mosque with the support of two men. Someone said to him, “O Abu Yazid! You are excused; if you wish, you do not have to come for prayer.” He replied, “Yes, you are right, but I hear the voice of the muezzin when he says, ‘Come to prayer, come to success,’ so whoever hears this should come for prayer, even if he has to crawl on his knees.”
