Hadith 35541
٣٥٥٤١ - حدثنا كثير بن هشام عن جعفر بن برقان قال: ثنا ثابت بن الحجاج قال: بلغني أن رجلين من بني عبد المطلب أتيا النبي ﷺ يسألانه من الصدقة فقال: "لا ولكن إذا رأيتما عندي شيئًا من الخمس فأتياني" (١).
Hazrat Hajjaj bin Thabit narrates that news reached me that two persons from Banu Abdul Muttalib came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked for charity. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Not now, but when you see that I have the wealth of khums with me, then come to me (I will give it to you).
