Hadith 35539
٣٥٥٣٩ - حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن محمد بن راشد عن مكحول قال: الخمس بمنزلة الفيء، (يعطي) (١) منه الإمامُ الغنيَ والفقير.
Hazrat Mak’hool (may Allah be pleased with him) says that khums is also like fai; from it, the Imam will give to both the rich and the poor. Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote: The way of general fai is also the way of khums.
