Hadith 35494
٣٥٤٩٤ - [حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا أصحابنا عن حماد عن إبراهيم قال: الإمام في الأسارى بالخيار إن شاء فادى، وإن شاء مَنَّ وإن شاء قتل] (١).
Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Imam has complete authority regarding the prisoners; if he wishes, he may free them in exchange for ransom, or free them as a favor, or have them killed.
