Hadith 3539
٣٥٣٩ - حدثنا عبدة عن هشام عن (أبيه) (١) قال: لما قدم الأشعث قدم غلاما فعابوا ذلك عليه، فقال: ما قدمته، (ولكني) (٢) قدمت القرآن (٣).
Hazrat Hisham narrates from his father that when Hazrat Ash'ath arrived, he put a boy forward to lead the prayer, so the people objected to this. Upon this, Hazrat Ash'ath said that I did not put him forward, rather I have put the Qur'an forward.
