Hadith 35014
٣٥٠١٤ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن قيس بن مسلم عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى (قال) (١): (سعد) (٢) بن عبيد القارئ يوم القادسية: إنا لاقو العدو غدا أن شاء اللَّه وإنا مستشهدون، فلا تغسلوا عنا دما ولا نكفن إلا في ثوب كانا علينا (٣).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Sa’d bin Ubaid Al-Qari (may Allah have mercy on him) said on the day of the Battle of Qadisiyyah: Surely, tomorrow we will meet the enemy, Insha’Allah. And if we are martyred, do not wash our blood. And do not give us shrouds except in the very clothes that we are wearing.
