Hazrat Abu Burdah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me and Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen. He (may Allah be pleased with him) says that one day Hazrat Mu’adh (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me while I had with me a Jew who had become Muslim and then reverted from Islam to Judaism. Upon this, he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I will never dismount at your place until you kill him. Hajjaj narrates that Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) informed me that Hazrat Abu Musa had invited that Jew for forty days.
