Hadith 34555
٣٤٥٥٥ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين قال: ثنا ابن الغسيل قال: ثنا عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: جلس رسول اللَّه ﷺ يومًا على المنبر عليه ملحفة متوشحًا بها (عاصبًا) (١) رأسه بعصابة دسماء، قال: فحمد اللَّه وأثنى عليه ثم قال: " (يا) (٢) أيها الناس تكثرون، و (يقل) (٣) الأنصار حتى (يكونوا) (٤) كالملح في الطعام، فمن ولي من أمرهم شيئًا فليقبل من محسنهم وليتجاوز عن مسيئهم" (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting on the pulpit. He (peace be upon him) had taken his cloak in the manner of Ihram and had tied a black band on his head. He (peace be upon him) praised and glorified Allah, then said: O people! You are many and the Ansar are few, to the extent that they will become like the amount of salt in food. So whoever has any dealings with them should accept their good deeds and overlook their faults.
