Hadith 34216
٣٤٢١٦ - حدثنا عبيد اللَّه بن موسى قال: أخبرني موسى بن عبيدة عن إياس بن سلمة عن أبيه أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ بايع لعثمان (إحدى) (١) يديه على الأخرى فقال الناس: هنيئا لأبي عبد اللَّه يطوف (بالبيت) (٢) آمنا، فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لو مكث كذا وكذا سنة ما طاف حتى أطوف" (٣).
Hazrat Iyas bin Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that his father, Hazrat Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him), said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took the pledge of allegiance for Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) by placing his right hand over his other hand. So the people said: Abu Abdullah is indeed fortunate that he is performing tawaf of the House of Allah in peace. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if he were to stay for so many and so many years, he would not perform tawaf until I had performed tawaf.
