Hadith 34068
٣٤٠٦٨ - حدثنا وكيع بن الجراح عن إسرائيل عن سماك عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس ﴿لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا﴾ [مريم: ٧]، قال: لم يسم أحد قبله يحيى (١).
Ikrimah narrates from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The explanation of { لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَہُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِیًّا } is that before him, no one was given the name Yahya.
