Hadith 33981
٣٣٩٨١ - حدثنا جرير عن قابوس عن أبيه عن ابن عباس قال: لما فرغ إبراهيم ﵇ (١) من بناء البيت العتيق قيل له: أذن (في الناس بالحج) (٢)، قال: رب وما يبلغ صوتي، قال: أذن وعلي البلاع، قال: فقال إبراهيم ﵇ (٣): يا أيها الناس، كتب عليكم الحج إلى البيت العتيق، قال: فسمعه ما بين السماء إلى الأرض، ألا ترى أن الناس (يجيئون) (٤) من أقاصي الأرض يلبون (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that when Ibrahim (peace be upon him) finished the construction of the House of Allah, he was told to proclaim Hajj among the people. He said, "O my Lord! How will my voice reach the people?" Allah said, "You make the proclamation; conveying it is My responsibility." Thus, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) proclaimed, "O people! Hajj to the House of Allah has been made obligatory upon you." Every created thing between the heavens and the earth heard this call. Do you not see that people come towards it from distant parts of the earth, responding with the cry of Labbaik?
