Hadith 33900
٣٣٩٠٠ - حدثنا أبو معاوية قال: ثنا إسحاق بن عبد اللَّه بن أبي فروة عن سعيد ابن أبي سعيد عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "سألت الشفاعة لأمتي فقال: لك سبعون ألفًا يدخلون الجنة بغير حساب، قلت: زدني، قال: لك مع كل ألف سبعون ألفًا، قلت: زدني، قال: فإن لك هكذا وهكذا (وهكذا) (١) "، فقال أبو بكر: حسبنا، فقال عمر: يا أبا بكر، دع رسول اللَّه ﷺ، فقال أبو بكر: يا عمر، إنما نحن حفنة من حفنات اللَّه (٢).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I asked Allah for intercession for my Ummah, so Allah said: For you there are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning. I said: O my Lord! Increase it for me! He said: For you, with every seventy thousand, there are seventy thousand more. I said: And increase it for me! He said: For you, there are so many and so many and so many more. Abu Bakr said: That is enough for us. Hazrat Umar said: O Abu Bakr! Leave the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, (to continue). Hazrat Abu Bakr said: O Umar! We are but a handful of Allah.
