Hadith 33887
٣٣٨٨٧ - حدثنا مروان عن عوف عن أبي رجاء قال: ثنا عمران بن الحصين قال: كنا مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ في سفر فشكا الناس إليه العطش، فدعا فلانًا ودعا عليًا، (فقال) (١): "اذهبا (فابغياني) (٢) الماء"، فانطلقا فتلقيا امرأة معها مزادتان أو سطحيتان، قال: فجاءا بها إلى النبي ﷺ (٣) فدعا النبي ﷺ (٤) بإناء فأفرغ فيه من ⦗٤٤٩⦘ أفواه المزادتين أو السطحيتين ثم أوكأ أفواههما، وأطلق العَزَالى، ونودي في الناس: أن اسقوا واستقوا، قال: فسقى من سقى (واستقى من استقى) (٥)، قال: وهي قائمة تنظر إلى ما يصنع بمائها، قال: فواللَّه لقد أقلع عنها حين أقلع وإنه ليخيل إلينا أنها أشد (ملاءا) (٦) منها (حيث) (٧) ابتدأ فيها فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "واللَّه ما رزأناك من ماءك شيئًا، ولكن اللَّه سقانا" (٨).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain narrates that we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when the people complained of thirst. The Prophet called so-and-so and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and said, "Go and search for water for us." So they went and found a woman who had two water skins or pitchers with her. They brought this woman to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked for a vessel and poured water from the mouths of the water skins or pitchers into it, then closed their mouths and let the rope hang loose. It was then announced among the people, "Take water and fill up." So whoever wanted to drink, drank, and whoever wanted to fill up, filled up, and the woman was standing and watching what was being done with her water. He says, "By Allah! She was left in such a state that we thought it was fuller than before." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "By Allah! We have not diminished anything from your water, rather Allah has given us to drink."
