Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that while Jibreel was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet heard a sound above him. He raised his head and said: "A door of the heavens has been opened today which was never opened before." Then an angel descended and said: "Receive the glad tidings of two lights that have been given to you and were not given to anyone before you: Surah Al-Fatihah and the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah. Whatever letter you recite from them, it will be granted to you."
