Hadith 33855
٣٣٨٥٥ - حدثنا العلاء بن عصيم عن حماد بن زيد عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة ⦗٤٣٣⦘ عن أبي (أسماء) (١) عن ثوبان قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن اللَّه زوى لي الأرض فرأيت مشارقها ومغاريها، وإن أمتي سيبلغ ملكها ما زوي لي منها، وأعطيت الكنزين الأحمر والأبيض"، -قال حماد: وسمعته مرة واحدة يقول: "فأولتها ملك فارس والروم- وإني سألت ربي لأمتي أن لا يهلكها بسنة (بعامة) (٢)، ولا يسلط عليهم عدوا من سوى أنفسهم، يستبيح بيضتهم، وإن ربي قال (لي) (٣): يا محمد، إني إذا قضيت قضاء فإنه لا يرد، وإني أعطيك لأمتك أن لا أهلكها بسنة بعامة، ولا أسلط عليهم عدوا من سوى أنفسهم يستبيح بيضتهم، ولو (اجتمع) (٤) عليهم من بين أقطارها أو قال: من أقطارها" (٥).
Hazrat Thawban narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah the Exalted folded the earth for me and I saw its east and west, and the rule of my Ummah will reach as far as it was folded for me, and two treasures were given to me, red and white. Hammad says that once I heard the narrator say: "I interpreted this as the kingdoms of Persia and Rome." And I asked my Lord that my Ummah not be destroyed by a general famine, and that no enemy be imposed upon them who would uproot them completely, and my Lord said to me: O Muhammad! When I make a decision, it cannot be reversed, and I have accepted your prayer that I will not destroy them by a general famine, and I will not impose upon them any enemy from among others who would uproot them completely, even if all their forces were gathered against them.
