Hadith 33846
٣٣٨٤٦ - حدثنا علي بن حفص عن المسعودي عن عاصم عن أبي وائل قال: ⦗٤٣٠⦘ قال عبد اللَّه: إن اللَّه اتخذ إبراهيم خليلًا وإن صاحبكم خليل اللَّه (١) إن محمدا أكرم الخلق على اللَّه ثم قرأ: ﴿عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا﴾ [الإسراء: ٧٩] (٢).
Hazrat Abu Wa'il narrates that Hazrat Abdullah said: Verily, Allah made Ibrahim (peace be upon him) His Khalil (friend), and your companion is also Allah's Khalil. Indeed, Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the most honored among the creation in the sight of Allah. Then he recited { عَسَی أَنْ یَبْعَثَک رَبُّک مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا }.
