Hadith 33815
٣٣٨١٥ - حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن المختار عن أنس بن مالك قال: بينا رسول اللَّه ﷺ بين أظهرنا إذ أغفى إغفاءة ثم رفع رأسه متبسما فقلنا: ما (لك) (١) يا رسول اللَّه؟ قال: "نزلت علي آنفا سورة فقرأ: بسم اللَّه الرحمن الرحيم ﴿إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ (١) فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ (٢) إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ﴾، ثم قال: "أتدرون ما ⦗٤١٤⦘ الكوثر؟ " قلنا: اللَّه ورسوله أعلم، قال: "فإنه نهر وعدنيه ربي عليه خير كثير، هو حوض ترد عليه يوم القيامة أمتي، آنيته عدد النجوم، فيختلج العبد منهم، فأقول: رب، أنه من أصحابي، فيقول: لا، إنك لا تدري ما أحدث بعدك" (٢).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting among us, he dozed off, then he raised his head smiling. We said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What happened to you?" He replied, "Just now a Surah has been revealed to me," and he recited {إنَّا أَعْطَیْنَاک الْکَوْثَرَ فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّکَ وَانْحَرْ إنَّ شَانِئَک ہُوَ الأَبْتَرُ }. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you know what Al-Kawthar is?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "It is a river which my Lord has promised me. There is much goodness upon it, and it is a basin upon which my Ummah will come on the Day of Resurrection. Its vessels are as numerous as the stars. Then a servant will be prevented from it, and I will say, 'O my Lord! Indeed, he is one of my companions.' Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'No, you do not know what innovations he introduced after you.'"
