Hadith 32735
٣٢٧٣٥ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن (الجريري) (١) عن (أبي) (٢) العلاء قال: قالوا لمطرف: هذا عبد الرحمن بن الأشعث قد أقبل، فقال مطرف: واللَّه لقد (نزى بين) (٣) (أمرين) (٤): لئن ظَهر لا يقوم للَّه دين، ولئن ظُهر عليه لا (يزالون) (٥) أذلة إلى يوم القيامة.
Abu Al-Ala narrates that people said to Mutarrif: "This is Abdur Rahman bin Ash'ath coming." Mutarrif said: "By Allah! He has attacked between two matters: if he prevails, the religion of Allah will not be established; and if he is defeated, you will remain humiliated until the Day of Resurrection."
