Hadith 32705
٣٢٧٠٥ - حدثنا (١) ابن عيينة عن منصور (بن) (٢) صفية عن (أمه) (٣) قالت: دخل ابن عمر المسجد وابن الزبير مصلوب فقالوا له: هذه أسماء، فأتاها فذكرها ووعظها وقال: إن الجثة ليست بشيء، وإنما الأرواح عند اللَّه، (فاصبري واحتسبي) (٤) فقالت: ما يمنعني من الصبر وقد أهدي رأس يحيى بن زكريا إلى بغي من بغايا بني إسرائيل (٥).
Hazrat Safiyyah narrates that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) entered the Sacred Mosque while Hazrat Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) was hanging on the gallows. People said to him that Hazrat Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) is coming. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) went to Hazrat Asma and advised and counseled her, saying that the body has no real significance, and souls are with Allah Almighty. Be patient! And hope for reward from Allah Almighty! She replied, "What can prevent me from being patient? When the head of Yahya bin Zakariya (peace be upon him) was given to a wicked woman of the Children of Israel."
