Hadith 32693
٣٢٦٩٣ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن أبي (شراعة) (١) عن عبادة بن نسي قال: ذكروا الشعر عند النبي ﷺ فذكروا امرئ القيس فقال النبي ﷺ: "مذكور في الدنيا مذكور في الآخرة حامل لواء الشعر في جهنم يوم القيامة، أو قال في النار" (٢).
Ubadah bin Nusayy narrates that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) mentioned poets in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. When the name of Imru’ al-Qais was mentioned, he said: The mention of this poet will remain on people’s tongues in this world as well as in the Hereafter, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be carrying the banner of poetry in Hell, or he said, carrying the banner of poetry in the Fire.
