Hadith 32691
٣٢٦٩١ - حدثنا ابن علية عن هشام عن الحسن قال: كتب زياد إلى الحكم بن عمرو الغفاري وهو على خراسان أن أمير المؤمنين كتب أن (تصطفي) (١) له (البيضاء والصفراء) (٢) فلا تقسم بين الناس ذهبًا ولا فضة، فكتب إليه: بلغني كتابك، تذكر أن أمير المؤمنين كتب أن يصطفى له البيضاء والصفراء، وأني وجدت كتاب اللَّه قبل كتاب أمير المؤمنين (و) (٣) أنه واللَّه: لو أن السماوات والأرض كانتا رتقا على عبد ثم اتقى اللَّه جعل اللَّه له مخرجًا، والسلام (عليكم) (٤)، ثم قال للناس: اغدوا على مالكم، فغدوا فقسمه بينهم (٥).
It is narrated from Hasan that Ziyad sent a message to Hakam bin Amr Ghafari, who was the governor of Khurasan, stating that the Commander of the Faithful says that gold and silver should be set aside for him and not distributed among the people. In reply, he wrote: I have received your letter in which you mentioned that the Commander of the Faithful has sent this message that gold and silver should be set aside for him, and before the letter of the Commander of the Faithful, I have read the Book of Allah. By Allah, if the heavens and the earth were completely closed upon a servant, and then he feared Allah, Allah would make a way out for him. And peace be upon you. Then he said to the people: Bring your wealth to me in the morning. So they brought it, and he distributed all that wealth among them.
