Hadith 32621
٣٢٦٢١ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (جعفر) (١) عن أبيه عن علي بن حسين قال: حدثني ابن (عباس) (٢) قال: أرسلني عليٌ إلى طلحة والزبير يوم الجمل، قال: فقلت لهما: إن أخاكم،، ايقرئكما السلام، ويقول لكما: هل وجدتما علي في حيف (في حكم) (٣) أو في (استئثار في فيء) (٤) أو في كذا؟ (أو في كذا) (٥) (قال: فقال الزبير) (٦): لا، ولا في واحدة منهما، ولكن مع الخوف شدة المطامع (٧).
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me as a messenger to Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) and Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of the Battle of Jamal. I said to both of them, "Your brother sends you greetings and says: Are you displeased with me for making a decision in any matter unjustly, or for taking possession of any war booty, or for such and such matter?" Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "None of these things is the case, rather it is some fear combined with a strong kind of desire."
