Hadith 32512
٣٢٥١٢ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن علي بن زيد عن أنس أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "رأيت فيما يرى النائم كأني مردف كبشا وكأن ضبة سيفي انكسرت، فأولت (أني) (١) أقتل صاحب الكتيبة" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw in a dream that I was riding a ram, and it was as if the edge of my sword was broken. I interpreted this dream to mean that I will kill the standard-bearer. The narrator ‘Affan says that after this sentence there was something else in this hadith, but I have forgotten it.
