Hadith 32501
٣٢٥٠١ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن حصين عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ (لأبي بكر) (١): (إني (رأيت) (٢) يتبعني غنم سود يتبعها غنم (عفر) (٣) "، فقال أبو بكر: يا رسول اللَّه، هذه العرب تتبعك تتبعها العجم، قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "كذلك عبرها الملك (٤) " (٥)
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman ibn Abi Laila that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): I saw in a dream that black sheep were walking behind me and behind them were sheep of a sandy color. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! These are the Arabs who will follow you, and behind them will be the non-Arabs. The narrator states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the angel also gave the same interpretation of this dream.
