Hadith 32360
٣٢٣٦٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن عمران بن حدير عن يحيى (بن سعيد) (١) عن بَشير بن نَهيك عن أبي هريرة قال: مثل المؤمن الضعيف كمثل الخامة من الزرع، تميلها الريح مرة وتقيمها مرة (٢)، قال: (أخرى) (٣) قلت: فالمؤمن القوي؟ قال: مثل ⦗٢٨⦘ النخلة تؤتي أكلها (كل) (٤) حين في ظلها ذلك (ولا) (٥) (تميلها) (٦) الريح (٧).
Hazrat Basheer bin Naheek (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The example of a weak believer is like that of an unripe crop. The wind sometimes bends it, and sometimes makes it stand upright. The narrator says: I asked, "And what is the example of a strong believer?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: His example is like that of a date palm tree which bears its fruit whenever anyone is under its shade, and the wind never bends it.
