Hadith 3229
٣٢٢٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر الزهري عن سالم عن ابن عمر: أن عمر بن الخطاب رأى رجلا يصلي ملتحفا فقال: لا تشبهوا باليهود من لم يجد منكم إلا ثوبا واحدا فليتزر به (١).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hazrat Umar saw a man who had a single cloth and was wrapping it around his body while performing prayer. He said: "Do not imitate the Jews. Whoever has only one cloth should tie it as an izar (lower garment)."
