٣٢٢٢٣ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن أبيه قال: كان عمر بن عبد العزيز لا يفرض إلا لمن قرأ القرآن قال: وكان أبي ممن قرأ القرآن ففرض له.
Hazrat Muhammad bin Fudayl states that his father, Hazrat Fudayl, said: Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz would not allocate a stipend except for the person who had recited the Qur'an. And my father was among those who had recited the Qur'an, so a stipend was allocated for him.
