Hadith 32204
٣٢٢٠٤ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن عاصم عن زر قال: قلت لأبي: إن ابن مسعود لا يكتب المعوذتين في مصحفه فقال: إني سألت عنهما النبي ﷺ فقال: "قيل لي فقلت: "، فقال أبي: (فنحن) (١) نقول كما قيل لنا (٢).
Hazrat Zirr narrates that I asked Hazrat Ubayy: Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud did not write the Mu'awwidhatayn (the last two surahs of the Qur'an) in his manuscript and said: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about these two surahs, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These were given to me to recite, so I recited them. Hazrat Ubayy replied: And we recite them as we have been commanded.
