Hadith 32136
٣٢١٣٦ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن علي بن زيد عن عمار ابن أبي عمار قال: سمع أبا (حبة) (١) (البدري) (٢) قال: لما نزلت: ﴿لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ﴾ [البينة: ١]، إلى آخرها قال: جبريل يا رسول اللَّه إن ربك (يأمرك) (٣) أن تقرئها أبيًا فقال النبي ﷺ لأبي: "إن جبريل أمرني أن أقرئك هذه السورة"، قال أبيٌ: (أذكرني) (٤) يا رسول اللَّه، قال: "نعم" (٥).
Hazrat Ammar bin Abi Ammar narrates that I heard Hazrat Abu Habba Badri saying: When the verse "Those who disbelieve from among the People of the Book were not..." until the end was revealed, Jibreel said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Your Lord commands you to recite this Surah to Ubayy. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ubayy: Jibreel has commanded me to recite this Surah to you. Hazrat Ubayy said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Did he mention my name? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes.
