Hadith 31925
٣١٩٢٥ - حدثنا زيد بن حباب عن موسى بن (عبيدة) (١) قال: حدثنا محمد بن كعب عن عوف بن مالك الأشجعي قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من قرأ حرفًا من كتاب اللَّه كتب (اللَّه) (٢) له حسنة، لا أقول: ﴿الم (١) ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ﴾ [البقرة: ١ - ٢]، ولكن الحروف مقطعة عن الألف واللام والميم" (٣).
Hazrat Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja'i narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever recites a single letter from the Book of Allah, one good deed is written for him. I do not say that "Alif Lam Meem" is one letter, but rather I say: Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.
