Hadith 31780
٣١٧٨٠ - حدثنا يعلى بن عبيد عن موسى الجهني قال: سألت الشعبي والحكم وعطاء ومجاهدا في الصلاة شيء (مؤقت) (١) قالوا: لا إنما أنت شفيع، فاشفع بأحسن ما تعلم.
Musa al-Juhani narrates that I asked Hazrat Sha'bi, Hazrat Hakam, and Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Mujahid: Is there anything fixed in the funeral prayer? All these respected persons replied: No! Indeed, you are an intercessor. Intercede with whatever supplication you know best.
