Hadith 31719
٣١٧١٩ - حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن عمرو بن دينار القهرماني عن سالم بن عبد اللَّه بن عمر عن أبيه قال: ما من رجل يرى مبتلي فيقول: الحمد للَّه الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به وفضلني عليك وعلى كثير من خلقه تفضيلا، إلا عافاه اللَّه من ذلك البلاء (كائنا) (١) ما كان (٢).
Hazrat Salim narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whenever a person sees someone afflicted by a calamity and recites this supplication: "All praise is due to Allah who has kept me safe from that with which He has afflicted you, and has granted me superiority over you and much of His creation," then Allah will not let that person be afflicted by that calamity, whatever it may be.
