Hadith 31644
٣١٦٤٤ - حدثنا ابن فضيل وأبو (معاوية) (١) عن عاصم عن أبي عثمان عن أبي موسى قال: كنا مع النبي ﷺ في سفر فجعل الناس يجهرون بالتكبير فقال النبي ﷺ: "أرْبَعُوا على أنفسكم فإنكم (لا) (٢) تدعون أصم ولا غائبًا، إنكم تدعونه (سميعًا) (٣) قريبًا وهو معكم" (٤).
Hazrat Abu Musa narrates that we were on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The people were proclaiming takbeer in loud voices. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Be gentle with yourselves. You are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent. Rather, you are calling upon One who is All-Hearing and Near, and He is with you.
